There's two beasts in Rev. 13. The first one is Rome, the second is USA.

USA started out like a lamb (Christian by nature), but is now starting to speak like a dragon, forcing people to look to Rome for their religion.

There's no 666 in the Bible. Rev.13:18 says count the number...it's the number of a man [his name]. Six hundred threescore and six. The name is VICARIUS FILII DEI - (Vicar of the Son of God) - that's DCLXVI in Roman Numurals, not 666.
