One other thing I forgot to mention is that on my right foot I developed I believe the terminology is "contact dermititis", back in the early 80's due to a pair of leather sandals that rubbed on the top of my foot. It used to be both feet then it would disappear for a few years and return again. I stopped wearing leather sandals that would come in contact where the rash had developed. It did not bother me again until about 3 years ago. It came back but only on the right foot. It is very itchy and it is red and rough and looks rather nasty. It's a shame cause I have beautiful feet and legs!:) I do scratch it raw sometimes because it drives me nuts. I tried putting coconut oil on it but I have not seen any positive results yet. I have also tried Shakai borage lotion and that did not help either. Dermatologists have prescribed every topical cream available years ago but nothing worked. I do have an allergy to nickel so I do not come in contact with that metal. The skin on my foot is rather thick and it does not seem to tan over. Any ideas at all?
