Blueduck has great recommendations. But the one I wonder about is the inflatable donut? I have read that this actually worsens them, that it is like sitting on the toilet for long periods of time which is what they recommend you do not do when you have this problem. Go with what you feel, since I don't know for sure. Just something I read. :)
For me I have had a bit of trouble with hemmoriods late in my pregnancies. I take large amounts of citrus biflavonoids and it clears them up directly. I take about 15-20 a day if I am having a painful problem, clears up the pain within a day or two and shrinks them back to normal within four days. Really works fast for me! I buy the Nature's Sunshine brand, they are good quality. Since I still have that all pressure from being pregnant I continue to take three a day and it keeps them away. Though I ran out of them for a week and half and still had no trouble as long as I kept taking Schultz's intestinal formula #1 for soft bm's.
