Re: TMJ - Magnesium Deficiency

I have had TMJ disorder for 17 yrs with mostly mild flare ups. Due to some recent extensive dental procedures I've had regular and severe flare-ups. Looked all over the web for help. Was living on Advil, soft foods and my heating pad was my best friend. Yesterday I tried magnesium for the first time. Took 300mg of chelated magnesium and within an hour my spastic jaw muscles were relaxed. I've been taking it for just over 24 hours now and have been pain free. Even the muscles of my neck and shoulders are no longer tense and painful. I can't say it will work the same for everyone since the causes of TMJD are many. I do think it is worth a try since it is inexpensive and, when taken in recommended doses, cannot harm your body.
