Brooke, i'm not sure if you still check this forum, but I wish I would have seen this sooner. I have the exact same symptoms you do. i'm 30, and I have had this off and on since I was about 20. Over the last few months, it has gotten worse, sometimes to the point where I just want to scream! I have 4 children, and I had my first when I was almost 20. Sometime thereafter, I began experiencing this "pounding heartbeat pulse" in my ear, and I can't remember, but I think it was in both of them for a while too, but now it's just my left. I went to a specialist when I was 22, and in tears, asked for an MRI after he prescribed a decongestant! It showed nothing abnormal. I was newly married then, and it was awful, and then all the sudden it stopped. I was pregnant! It has come and gone over the years, and I've noticed things like it gets worse before my period. So I thought it was hormonal...maybe it is to some degree. In the past year, I became a veg. and then a strict. veg. eliminating all dairy from my diet because I thought it would help with sinus pressure. It is much better, but my pounding is worse than ever. I am going to try to do a little more research into this before I suck it up and go see a doc. again, because I really don't like doctors!
