I had to go two grades up for my reading class too. So I thought it'd be better just to BE in the grade, rather than just appear for the one part of the day and piss everyone off. They never got me extra fun stuff to do, even our "MGM" class for advanced kids usually had teachers who didn't know what to do wtih us. Sigh. So I just finished every lesson in the spelling books etc. and hung around to learn math, since I couldn't figure that one out on my own. I really hated that "there goes the bell curve" look I'd get, so I just stopped participating or doing homework and made low-A's. To this day I have really lousy study habits LOL!
