Born on 10th and 1st day, this makes them true originals. Help them to express themselves honestlyl and openly, give them strength to stand up to people who will ask them to conform. Expose them to many different ways to express themselves - musical instruments, dance, choir, sports, martial arts, tennis, whatever! the more the merrier. :)
First born has 33/6 life lesson #. This is a Master Number meaning huge lessons involving a desire to serve and protect, people or animals or environment, or to give beauty/education to the world. This is someone with a message and a mission. Could take many forms. Has 2 twice as challenge, which means hyper-sensitive. Discipline should be gentle, as they will punish themselves quite severely when you say "I'm disappointed in you." Time outs may be terrible, give them too much time to think. Discussion would be better. Always remember to tell the child that you forgive them and that the slate is clean or they'll think they're constantly under the gun.
The second born has challenges 0-0-0-0. I've never seen this before. Could be indicative of Indigo Child - no karma, so no challenges. 0 is hard to interpret. Life lesson 30/3 means intellectual and creative pursuits are very important, as is self-expression. Justice is also very important - don't ever say "do as I say, not as I do" or "do what I say because I'm your father" because it just won't wash. ;) When disciplining, ask your child's opinion as to what they think would be a fair punishment or division of chores and proper allowance $$ etc.

Anyway....being born with many 2's in my birthday and with a 2 Challenge, I have to say that you are right on about the discipline thing. Seriously - the "I am disappointed in you" thing is crushing - don't ever use it! A look that hints at something is much better. (!) I wonder if most 2-challenged children keep themselves in line for fear of not being 'good'...? hmmmm.
Fascinating that your 2nd born has 0's as his Challenges! wow. Such a divine number.
Both your children are Air signs....I may look them up astrologically when I have time...

This is a reply to # 622,814Tracey I have three 2's as challenges. My firstborn has so many emotional connections as me and I have noticed that the look is all it takes with him. I even feel bad giving him the look as he is crushed that he has dissapointed me. I intuitively knew not to say that. Luckily as of yet I admire his iniative and don't have to reprimand him much.
My secondborn I guess I have to learn more about he is very different and may be a challenge for me. So I would definitely like to know more. Plus I can brag a little they're just cool!

This is a reply to # 622,814As I said I have three 2 challenges and was hypersensitive, but I often bucked authority and did not allow reproof or correction. I rebelled everytime "I'll teach them" I'm glad my kids are not as vindictive as I was.

heheheh I wouldn't say I was vindictive - but probably I was - it was just more like, "Unless you tell me WHY I'm not going to listen. And unless it makes good SENSE I'm not going to listen."
It completely burned my dad, because he was raised very much in the world of "I'm the parent so what I say goes." I thougth that was just a bunch of balogney. Sense is sense and nonsense is nonsense no matter who is saying it. LOL!
How are your kids getting along in school? That was most difficult for me - being bored all day because I already knew how to read. My first three years of public school I only went three days a week on average. That was a compromise I decided upon because I didn't know I could skip grades - and my mom didn't want me to skip any grades as she had hated skipping. Wish she'd at least asked me! This is a reply to # 622,819That's how I was too. I required can you believe explanation from my parents they weren't havin it so.... I got them when they reprimanded me. I have given many babysitters and teachers nervous breakdowns!
My 6 yr old had an awesome montessori teacher for 3 yrs he was prepped to go straight to second grade he actually had the maturity. He is reading at a 5th grade level (been reading since 2 1/2) But we started him in 1st grade to observe more and he will have the oppurtunity later. I had oppurtunity to skip 2 grades and am glad I did not, I needed the socialization, my brother skipped and suffered, my sister has decided against skipping my niece and nephew although it was recommended. We just make sure they are receiving extra work and challenges. We just completed 10 hours of homework and extra credit this weekend.
My 4 yr old unfortunately did not have the montessori experience as this wonderful school closed recently. He has suffered most because of our divorce and my ex is not so much on recognizing this type of stuff. I have not had much time to teach him to read. He just decided like everything from walking to talking to potty training to start reading recently and after 2 months It seems that he's been at it for 10. He always comes from behind!
Sounds like you were ready to skip. I did not like the idea of being singled out. I already was reading and speaking complex structure at 2 1/2 and people were always observing me and I hated it, they sent me in 2nd grade to my sisters reading class who was 4 yrs older. That was embarrassing. I wanted to be with my own. So I toned everything down. My school was good when I experienced boredom they ordered extra reading books, brought in a sociology grad student to work with me, psychologist at times and started advanced studies. I met and corresponded with many authors such as Gwen Brooks, and many other childrens authors when I won a state contest they even set up correspondence with Isaac Azimov for a Science fiction book I wrote in 4th grade. When I compare report cards of mine with my 6 yr old he is doing better than I did.

I had to go two grades up for my reading class too. So I thought it'd be better just to BE in the grade, rather than just appear for the one part of the day and piss everyone off. They never got me extra fun stuff to do, even our "MGM" class for advanced kids usually had teachers who didn't know what to do wtih us. Sigh. So I just finished every lesson in the spelling books etc. and hung around to learn math, since I couldn't figure that one out on my own. I really hated that "there goes the bell curve" look I'd get, so I just stopped participating or doing homework and made low-A's. To this day I have really lousy study habits LOL!Advertisement

This is a reply to # 622,823Yeah we learned scientific inquiry and report writing and deductive reasoning, I was taught how to develop hypotheses in 4th grade it was great. Yeah it did piss off the 6th graders when I came to class. But it embarassed my sister too who took a lot of crap. They decided that was not cool and shuttled me off to another school in the short yellow bus. My friends did not know for a long time why I left after lunch on Wednesdays.
I have no study habits with the exception of that for test taking. I never developed a study habit even thru college. Math I need tutoring for!

That made a lot of sense Shelley Thank You. I wanted to tell you nuch of this. My firstborn is hypersensitive and always thinking and I have always discussed things with him since before he could talk. He just understood, he responds better than many adults. I have never had to physically reprimand him and as a baby I warned him once and he never went near the outlets, cabinets, etc.... He fits the serve and protect thing to a tee. He is his brothers guardian and carekeeper. I have caught him at the age of 3 at 5:00 am giving his 1 yr old brother a bath after wetting himself. The sheets and clothes were going in the washer!!!! I caught him last year at age of 5 teaching a captivated audience of older children why we should protect the animals and why he has chosen to be mainly vegetarian (within reason) He sat me down this past weekend and explained by using a pikachu analogy why my secondborn was responding tempermentally to me. It sounds weird but he has actually given me much guidance.
My secondborn is a total enigma at times he tested us as a baby with an attitude of knowing defiance. The thing that most recall is that he refused to crawl, talk and walk until many months after we would catch him in private. He just observed us and is coming up with conceptual ideas that blow me away. Self expression is strong with this one at 4yrs he also calls me to responsibility on my errors and is defiant to all authority except mine including his mothers. He has always disallowed hugging and has recently given me permission when he says so,
Both my kids were touched at least twice by intuitives in infancy and we were told they were special. They are regardless of that.! I will learn more I know I need it.

One of my mom's brothers was like your youngest. He was 4 before my grandfather ever heard him speak, and he had to hide behind a door to do that! He learned (and still learns) everything at his time his way and, even if he started late, he caught up and flew past expectations in a blink! If your son grows up anything like my uncle, you'll be bursting at the seams with pride and scratching your head over him at the same time, hehe.
Naw, my uncle is just a truly full and rich personality, an all around great guy and very much his own person!

Thanks I know that's the case. He started out small, and people think he is still 2 until they hear him speak. I have a strong feeling he will end up watching over his older brother. The hiding behind a door is familiar, both mine would talk and walk in front of mirror in secret for a long time before they were confident to show us. My first we were told he might be downs syndrome we refused amnio he had 6 knots in his cord and was oxy deprived for a long time. My second had 3 or 4 knots also and was deprived also. This seems pretty common in our family though!
