Re: As an American, I am confused.. what's wrong with people nowadays?
How hilarious! I am laughing a side-splitting laugh at this very moment because you have clearly proven a point I have been aware of for, well for years. That point is that when people lose the ability to discuss the issue they go for the cheapest and quickest distraction route possible which is character assassination and painting their counterpart as a demon they can undermine with minimal requirement of knowledge about issues or their background.
You see you don't even know me, my circumstances, my income or status in my community or society - so you paint me as something you can jump on with ease. You could not be further from any truths about me as is clear by your confused response. If you've got questions about me ask - if you want to take cheap shots which is a typical response in this day and age I will offer my sympathy to you and offer up my time to more worthy pursuits than feeding your unduly inflated urge to pump yourself up.
As for the "shrub" and "dud-boy" monikers that is about as childish as it comes and shows even more clearly that an effort to discuss the issues with you would likely be futile because you are probably beyond convincing that you could possibly be mistaken or misguided or without any logical solutions. Character assassination, as I stated earlier, is typically indicative of these other character traits.
As I said - if there were a legitimate alternative to President Bush I would likely support them if they understood several concepts:
No nation that legitimizes the unlimited destruction of the most innocent forms of life and sits quietly as hundreds of thousands of lives are taken by the medical establishment every year can or will survive itself - the value of life is lost and how could you expect the people to value life when the government and overburdening media perpetuate life as a burden when it "inconveniences" someone?
No nation that taxes to poverty its citizens wil survive and Democrats have never offered an option to this very plain principle - nor do any of their present candidates offer up any solutions but rather hope to be elected merely because they can find flaws in the current administration - a leader must have vision because what is said in the Bible is very true in life "Where there is no vision, the people perish" - take a look around the world and you can see example after example. Iraq is one very clear example - Hussein had no vision only an unfillable greed without any care for the lives of Iraq's citizens.
