I am a Christian who voted for Bush but if you think all Christians who voted for him are not aware of questionable or concerning moves by his administration you're ignorant of the fact that people other than you have access to insight and knowledge. There are many other reasons a Christian might have chosen Bush over Gore or would support Bush over any Democratic opponent in the upcoming election (God help us!). Let me provide you a few:
1. The war on Iraq - whether you like it or not it wasn't all about Halliburton and it wasn't a war against innocent people - did innocent people die? Of course, they do in ALL wars! But more innocent people die in US hospitals each and every month than Iraqi citizens have died in the war to date. Whether you want to believe it or not Hussein had to go and his regime is now gone. Will companies profit during this time - sure! Halliburton - unfortunately so. But to ignore Husseins demise and dream up other ways it "could have been done" - is unrealistic. If the Dem's make their opposition to the way Bush has dealt with this issue - any Christian would be justified in opposing them - but any smart Christian would look at more issues than this. WMD - no one ever questioned their existence for the many years that the UN did nothing to enforce their 17 resolutions - and now this idea is used as a way to overlook Huseein and his regimes murderous history - surely you jest!
2. Taxes - has a Democratic candidate ever proposed anything that would lighten the burden on ANY family when it comes to taxes? They seem to believe that by burdening the rich they will lessen the burden on the poor - well the poor are employed by the rich (directly or indirectly)and if you think that raising taxes on the rich pays off debts you need a crash course in economics and a wake-up course in the economics of the wealthy. They will find ways around over-taxation - legally. Problem with any of these ideas, Bush included, is that it has to clear Congress which is a pork-barrel haven - does this mean anything to you?
3. As a Christian I just cannot get past the Kill-em-all abortion attitude that is perpetuated by the Democratic platform. You do not have to be a Christian to know that this is a direct violation of the rights of American citizens to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Anyone who's had an abortion or been the victim of an abortion procedure to them or their partner in the pregnancy is now and always will be the parent of a dead child and that can destroy the souls of anyone. Imagine the lost value people have for life because of the allowed destruction of the most innocent lives around.
4. Vision - if a Democratic hopeful have any semblance of vision for the country that held to the founding intent - that being a Christian nation with respect for all religions but a nation built upon and holding to the Christian values - then maybe one might have a chance of garnering my vote.
BTW - I agree with the shredding of the Constitution (it deserves to be capitalized by the way) and am aware of the globalist efforts, Tri-lateral commission, WHO, UN, NWO, etc... I'm hip - but when you've got two choices on the table and one is bile soup and the other is a moldy piece of bread - but you've got to eat? Moldy bread wins every time.
As for what Jesus would do? Whatever He would do - it would be far too much for much of this generation to handle as I'm sure it would have required people to praise His Father the One True God and ask Him for guidance and divine intervention.
