and that's why i shop new seasons and whole foods and zupan's. i haven't done the research, but the talk in town is they pay living wages and people seem happy with the benefits and working conditions provided.
as far as "between clinton & bush", i thought clinton had done a good job, but more and more i hear that he waited until the witching hour to pass laws regarding environmental protection etc., and of course bush is busy unraveling it all. i'm beginning to truly understand the concept of "the lesser of two evils". it's just sad it has to be that way, you know.
