I urge everyone who has Kaiser to switch. We definitely pay more for prescriptions now, but our lives are worth it. I grew up with Kaiser, had my child with Kaiser, so I didn't know any different. I finally switched at 37 years old. I had a mammogram and was told I would have results in 1 week, after I had not heard in THREE weeks I began calling. I heard everything from the fact that they simply do not have enough people to read the results to that if I had not heard in TWO weeks there MUST be an abnormality. I explained it had been THREE weeks who could help me...I had to call the patient reps to finally get an answer. My cycles were never regular so at 35 when I went in to get a shot I was asked if I would like to know why I wasn't "regular"- what a concept- I said SURE!! I had grown up thinking it was "normal" to just go get a shot! From blood tests it was discovered that I had PCOS. Because of Kaiser lack of follow up my uncle died of cancer. He went in for heart problems and there were notations made that he should be checked for cancer- they did not follow up this was not relayed to my family. My aunt had been pursuing a lawsuit, but she too has died from cancer. Please help yourself and your family and switch from kaiser
