Ex-Girlfreind

My girlfriend broke things off with me in August. She started dating me before her divorce was final (over a year ago). We had a very wonderful relationship both physically and emotionally. I was serious and she didn't want to be. I've been divorced for over 5 years. She said she wanted to date other men and needed her freedom. Here is my question...would it be totally improper for me to ask her if she knows any nice single ladies that I could meet or a good place to meet some? She works at a company with lots of women and told me she knew some divorced women (when we were still dating). My job doesn't bring me in contact with many women and the bar scene is not for me. She is 39 and I am 47.
