To Skeptic
If I am reading your post correctly, it sounds like you lost a family member after unsuccessful application of alternative health treatments. I am sorry for your loss.
I, too, have lost too many family members, but they have all been at the hands of traditional MDs.
I took your comment in a previous post about obtaining all the information regarding physiology one should need to know in high school as rude. You may not have meant it that way, but that is how it came across to me. And, nonetheless, that is your opinion. I did not take high school physiology, but I went on to take it in college many years later and made As both semesters while working full time and taking several other courses at the same time. So I do know a little bit about the functioning of the human body.
What I cannot figure out completely though are the following scenarios:
I have two friends, both diagnosed with cancers, one bowel, the other non-Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 4. Both were healed using alternative healing methods. The bowel cancer was cured on the Hallelujah Diet. I introduced my friend to it and watched her over a period of time. The MDs had wanted to give her a colostomy bag. She had seen both her father and brother die slow, painful deaths after being diagnosed with bowel cancers and choosing traditional "healing" methods - surgery, radiation, chemo, etc. She did not want to go that route. This has been several years ago, and her tests still keep coming back negative.
My other friend happens to be a "practicing" physician herself, the one who was diagnosed with NHL many years ago. She and her husband advised me at the times she was diagnosed, that there was no appropriate medical intervention for her condition. She began taking food grade hydrogen peroxide drops (awful tasting) and Barley Green in her V8 juice every a.m. and her condition reversed. It did return many years later when she resumed some of her unsafe eating habits, but she was once again able to beat it with the same regime.
So go figure. These folks are living testimonies to me. How do you explain the physiology of their healings?
I may not agree with everything Dr. Clark says, but I certainly don't agree with everything that the medical profession tells me either. If anybody, has found any healing from her suggestions, who are we to discount that, whether it is placebo or not?
There is a wonderful older book called something like "Love, Medicine and Miracles" written by an MD. This MD admits that he does not know why some folks get well on traditional regimes and some get well on alternative. He has his theories. It is almost like one man's meat is another man's poison.
Udo Erasmus writes in his "Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill" that some folks get sick and die of cancer on the raw food diet and some obtain healings.
So, anyway, I feel that you might have an axe to grind, as I do myself, but there is a lot of information being pulled out of folks with all this controversy. Thanks.
