Here's why.....

It creates a conformity consensus and forces posters with opposing views to have links created against their will, that may go against their health philosophies. The idea of posting is to offer individual advice, not to generate imposed links (consensus spam).

There are a few solutions, however.

Abandon this idea altogether.

Allow the user to turn off this feature.

Or may I suggest that users that feel the same way as I do, use a disclaimer above their posts that state something like the following:

Please be advised that I do not endorse the autolinking that is being imposed on this post as a default filter. Links that I do endorse will be highlighted in (choose colour) and bolded as to separate them from the auto, imposed ones.
