Reiki will assist and support you on all levels...in fact, it often works on the emotional and psychological before the healing trickles down to the physical. Your Higher Self is prompting you with your "gut feeling" to pursue Reiki, because you are ready......

And Reiki does not conflict at all with any religion, including Christianity.
