Reiki is unique in that it does not require help from the recipient. Reiki is also an art of patience - your practitioner may not be able to break the "cement" yet, but give it time.

Keep in mind that in Reiki's early days in Japan treatments were given EVERYDAY, and even then it could take a few weeks to be healed depending on the severity of the ailment.

Just keep going with Reiki. That is the best advice I can give you, maybe take a class for yourself so you can do treatments everyday. Also, following the Usui precepts (See the forum description) always help :)
