Youngest Son In Bad Accident

just a quick note as we dash home to grab something resembling food, a shower, & a nap before heading out again in a few hours.... have had no sleep for about 44 hours now and no food for about .. I dunno, 28? 30? - forgive incoherency, bad spelling, & double postings...

got word late last night just as we were headed to bed that my youngest son (DCH, 17, lives w/his dad in a small town about 300 miles from us) had been in a bad accident (he can now literally claim he was run over by a truck) & was helicoptered to a trauma center about 170 miles away from us.... aside from abrasions, burns, bumps, bruises, and lacerations requiring a lot of staples to close, the more serious injuries are the broken bones in his back... no internal, soft tissue, or organ damage that they can tell yet (Much gratitude and thanks!!) ... probable surgery in the morning for the broken bones...

we're relieved in some ways - he was conscious, communicative, & coherent on arrival and throughout most of the day (between painkillers) but understandably very concerned about his injuries, condition, and the imminent surgery

would be most grateful for soothing, calming, and healing energies and prayers sent ....
