Gallbladder operation

Hi, l am desperate l am scheduled to have surgery this monday to have my gallbladder removed. I have suffered with the pains for over four years and finally they tell me what is wrong and now l am told l have to have an operation all this in one week. What l need to know is do the cleansings work l very much do not want to have the operation and l am hoping to convince the surgeon to remove the stones only and from there l will do all the cleanses that l have read about and try my best to look after my body and not have the pains return. Can someone please help me here everybody l know wants me to have the op l need some advice from people who don't think that surgery is the only way to go.
