I just have to back up Rusfox's and the other posters remarks.
Psyllium is NOT a laxative by any means. It is not habit forming. It actually IMPROVES the tone of peristalsis (colon muscle that moves the fecal matter through)...so it is very very good for you. (one must drink a lot of water when they take psyllium however - but that is also good for you). Psyllium improves colon health unlike herbal laxatives that irritate the colon in order to pass the fecal matter.

Liver Flushes are NOT habit forming either. They are good good good for you! They flush out the old stagnant bile and cholesterol balls and make the liver healthier. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (thousands of years old) the Liver is called the 'General' of the body. If the liver is not healthy, the rest of you won't be. The liver does many things. Filters toxins out of the blood is one of them. In our modern age we take in MANY MANY toxins. (pleeeease read Journey to the Center of the Colon at www.thedoctorwithin.com - and many more of his articles...they are amazingly informative and interesting and clear). Our liver is overloaded with toxins and can't even do it's job properly. Take hydrogenated oil for example. This is quite simply POISON. What does our liver do with this plastic??? Forms balls with it that plug up our system maybe?? Believe me....our livers need some flushing! (then some repair with tincture of milk thistle and dandelion) That's why many people get rid of their allergies when they
flush their liver s...because they clean out all the accumulated toxins and, voila!, the liver is able to deal with the toxins we stupidly keep putting in our body! Of course, the less toxins we take in the healthier we will be!
The liver will get stronger and stronger with the flushes. Listen to your body....periods of REBUILDING are necessary after CLEANSING! Right? yes. Use common sense. Some people take less
Epsom Salts than called for. Others take none. You can take prune juice instead. You must drink lots of water before and after the flush to rehydrate. Enemas or
colonics are suggested.
Cleanse, rebuild, listen to your body, put healthy foods into your body and drink lots of purified water.....
