Last Monday someone told me about a diet for among other things, celiac disease. I started doing it to the best of my ability on Wednesday. I think it's helping me alot. It's called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. It's somewhat like the No Grain Diet, but the originator of the diet was much more specific about which carbohydrates are detrimental to the group of diseases that the diet is meant for. It was such a relief for me to find this diet because I've been having a difficult time figuring out what was making me sick and what would make me feel okay. There's a book about it called Breaking the Vicious Cycle, by Elaine Gotschall.
