Hi Grog, You bring up some very good points. I've been doing the Atkins diet for about three years. For two of those years I neither gained or lost but it was good food so I stayed with it. Then I decided to add more veggies and gained 13 pounds, but the gain has leveled off for the past four months. The reason I added veggies was the stuff I kept reading about too much meat being bad for you. Then I read a post about scientific treks to the north pole in the l800's where they had only meat and water for months at a time (seal and polar bear) and they were really healthy providing they ate the fat too. Eating only lean meat after three days made them sick. But I digress, Atkins said if you don't lose maybe its candida, so I bought the Three-lac, took it, no change. So then I started a colon cleanse, and am on the five day break between a
parasite cleanse, and the scales are still not my friend. I use a rebounder daily and keep up my yard which is a third of an acre, and do a half fast job of housework.LOL So any ideas what I might try next? Oh, I know my thyroid is low and am taking
Iodine supplements along with coq10, msm, Vit.C, Nac,calcium and alfalfa. Maybe its just old age spread and I'm stuck with it at 63. Omie
