You may want to check into cubital or orbital tunnel syndrome as it seems that your nerves may be affected if you get a weakening in your grip when your forearms are extended and elbows bent as in writing or typing. It is important to know if this is a nerve problem before going to the point where the nerves are damaged more severely. It would be of concern to avoid writing or such exercise that may cause the forearm to be contracted or not fully extended.
