I must respond and add to my original post. My post stated that aspartic acid has nothing to do with the threat to one's health , after further investigation and perusing several web sites , I find that aspartic acid is indeed another co-factor , the methanol (which breaks down into formadahyde) and the phenylalinine (plastic ingrediant , into diketopiperazine a known carcinogen)would be enough to warrant discontinuing using Aspartame products , but then add in the acid threat to brain damage , and it seems immanageble that this was ever approved , except for the monitary and political gains of a few at the expense of many......Richard Tweet
