The dangers of Aspartame has nothing to do with aspartic acid ,it's the composition of 50% phenylalanine (used in plastics)breaks down into diketopiperazine , a known carcenogen , 40% aspartic acid and the 10% methanol (wood alcohol,known to damage brain cells)that breaks down into formaldehyde , used to embalm corpses.....an excellent site on Aspartame is http://www.dorway.com or http://www.dorway.org there are many others but this has the most documentation...
