vision therapy cured me

my eyes are very sensitvie: when i watch t.v for half an hour or read a book or internet my eyes turn very red and very very painfuk- i must stop and rest for a lot of time
I also head eye allergy symptoms very often and they were severe.
i went to 4 doctors (no less) and all I got was some eye drops and later steroids.
it barely helped -and I had to live with it

the fifth doctor I went to (they were all optomatrists)
told me of something called "vision therapy"
apparently many (all?) optomatrists are exposed to the fact that some exsercize for the eyes can improve many eye problams (including bad eyesight) and it's natural with no side effects (unlike the eyedrops I was given)

after several months of vision therapy i was cured and even after one year i barely have eye problams!

but why did it take a year for me to suffer ineffective medicine when the cure was simply eye exercise

why only one out of five optomatrists told me about this cure.
