Good for you. The Republican Party are only libertarian(economically conservative) for taking away the tiny part of taxes, less than 1%, that go to the poor and the powerless. They steer the eyes of voters toward the evil poor people to steer the voters away from Fortune 500 Corporate Welfare Programs that keep the people slaves of the economic elite. Most Republicans hate the poor and the powerless, because they fear them. They are good at dehumanizing and marginalizing the poor...non-whites, non-protestants. Some civil libertarians also dehumanize the poor and powerless...blaming welfare for social ill..This subliminal hatred of the poor and the powerless is the New McCarthyism...Call it Orinism if you want. I hope if you are elected you will remember the non-cast part of our society and the poor. Good luck with your election campaign.
