Re: garlic
Wow, Mary... you were serious about the garlic!
I haven't ever taken it long-term like that, but my cousin and I have a habit of taking about 6 cloves of garlic when we feel we're coming down with a bug. I usually just mince or press them, and then down them with water, swishing around in my mouth a bit. Sure, it burns a bit but oh well. Haven't experienced any stomach problems. Sometimes I also take a bit of fresh ginger root along with it. Repeat as needed. My cousin tends to put her minced cloves on a couple of corn chips, topped with salsa. Her eyes water. So, when I take it, other people tell me I reek... it's true, it comes out of EVERY pore! And, when my cousin took it, she reeked - for a while we shared a room and I could smell it wafting over very pungently, not pleasant. But there are worse things.
The whole point of garlic is the smell is the potent part. Like we said, it does come out of your pores. Showering basically doesn't help, 20 minutes later you will be garlicky again. Taking a lot of herbs and chlorophyll shouldn't diminish the smell completely... if you want the effects of garlic, I think you WILL smell of garlic, like it or not! Sorry, no suggestions...
