Something doesn't sound quite right to me. I had an enormous amount of stones and my AST was 16 and ALT 19 with tan stools, definitely not clay. It sounds like you might have more going on than just small stones. It looks like hardly any bile is being discharged.

I hate to say it, but I kind of doubt your diagnosis. Hopefully it's just a big stone blocking a duct or something, but I wonder...I guess you don't want a HIDA scan with radioactive dye if you're nursing (or anytime, ha!). Some kind of scan, maybe, though.

Two quick questions:

1. Did you have an alkaline phosphatase test? If so, what were your results?

2. What is your lab's reference range for GGT?
