Re: highlighting hair

Hi Gita,
Yes, lemon juice will work to lighten your hair, but only if you're in the sun. It may also work with the heat of a blow dryer.
If you try the blow dryer method... use a plastic cap over your hair, this will protect your hair from drying out.
I always did it when I went to the beach for a day. It works great.
If you only want highlights, take a straw hat and pull some hair through it with a crochet hook. Fill a small water bottle with half lemon juice and a quarter of it water. You also may add a little leave in conditioner, this will protect your ends from getting too dried out.
You can relax on the beach and get a hightlight at the same time.
Make sure you saturate your hair with enough lemon mixture. If you want extremely blonde lights, use more lemon juice and not as much water.
Have a good one!...Let us know if blondes really do have more fun!

By the way I am a hairstylist. I'm glad you're not one of my customers. I would lose a little of my profit!:)
