I emailed Spectrum Chemicals and asked if their Ghatti Gum is food grade. Here is their response:

Dear Bruce,

Thank you for your interest in Spectrum Chemicals. Per your inquiry, product # GH105 is a non-graded material and is NOT food grade. This would be used for reasearch purposes only. We do not have a food grade material.

If you have further inquiries, please let me know.
