Sorry, but we wouldn't know about the "new way" of removing gallbladders. We all just flushed our stones the "old way."

Your Dr. will need to advise you on traveling. It's so strange no one told you anything before you left the hospital. You can't even reach your Dr.!!! How absurd! I bet the hospital and your Dr. will be easy to reach when it's time for you or your insurance company to pay, though.

I hope you recover well from your surgery. But, one thing I am sure your Dr. failed to mention---- Gallstones are formed in your liver, so you will STILL have stones.
