Re: Concentration camps set up and waiting for American citizens
stofurz, kindly explain to the rest of us what you consider "anti-american". is it practicing your first amendment (freedom of speech)? is it being concerned citizens for the welfare of fellow americans which have been placed in harms way in order to "liberate" another country? tell me, it was only a few weeks ago, wasn't it, that bush publicly declared that saddam was a liar, he was hoarding weapons of mass destructions, and biological and chemical weapons, and in order to "preserve the american way of life" and "freedom", "iraq must be disarmed". that's what he said, right? that was the REASON for invading iraq. well, now it's turned into a "liberation" war, so that if anyone criticizes this "war", they're also accused of not wanting what's "best for" the iraqi people. are you still following me? so, which part of stating any of these FACTS, and they ARE facts, no matter how you twist and turn them, make any of us "anti-american" or "unpatriotic", or even "terrorists"? mind you, i was born in a country where there WAS no freedom of speech. criticizing the president would land you in jail, and wanting a change, or questioning the current regime made you unpatriotic. do all of these accusations sound familiar? (just refer back to your own post if you need clarification...) would you like to know who this man was that we all did not agree with, and who wasn't allowed to be criticized? it was nicolae ceausescu of former communist romania. do you still feel people should be imprisoned if they disagree with, or "seem" a threat to their government? why don't you INFORM yourself a little better before you attack the keyboard next time. information is a very powerful tool, especially when it's right on the mark. unfortunately, it can also be very dangerous, when used to accuse, manipulate and incite fear and panic...
