Expensive protests

Two weeks ago, I was hit in the head with a sign carried by a protester. The sign simply said Peace. Didn't feel all that peaceful to me. All I wanted to do was to go to the paper goods store to purchase items for my daughters bridal shower. When I tried to walk through the crowd of protesters, I was taunted, pushed and finally hit on the head. No one stopped to ask me whether or not I agreed with the protesters, it was assumed that since I was not carrying a sign I was "agin 'em".

This "peaceful" protest cost thousands of dollars that my state can ill afford to spend. Extra police forces had to be called and many shops in the area were unable to do business for most of the weekend. The economy in our state has been bad for several years now and the constant protesting is killing it faster than the war ever could.
