It is interesting to note that some of Dr. Emoto's statements are based on research done by Dr. Jacques Beneviste. Beneviste published a paper in the Journal Nature in 1988 describing the memory of water, an effect that was later disproven by S. J. Hirst et. al (Nature 366 525-527 (1993)).

With regard to the products on Dr. Emoto's site, how exactly do they work? I was looking at the eCrystal, but could not find any description of how it functions. The eCrystal's field was mentioned multiple times, but the kind of field it produces was not specified.
