well, a better answer would be by faith. remember, peter walked on water, too. and dont give me the old song and dance sermon on him taking his eyes off of jesus causing him to sink. it was when he looked down and his mind told him it was impossible that he started to sink.

even so, there is a mechanism in place. when dr emoto can label the same water in two different containers, one "angel" and one "devil" and have people look at these bottles and then freeze the water and photograph the crystals with an electron microscope and the angel water is feathery and symetric and the devil water looks like sludge from a sewage treatment plant, well....

the ancients knew how human thought effects water so there were many water gods. they knew how fire could be uncontrolable so they had fire gods. what they didnt know was that water was made of hydrogen and oxygen. oxygen is an uncontrolable caustic and it consumes. hydrogen is the simplest atom and highly controlable by human thought. this is why the ancients were able to see the effect of humans on the sun - it is made of hydrogen. this is why they worshipped it and sacrificed to it. they paid attention and KNEW that their prayers were answered. they were. they were not as stupid as we think they were, and now we are worse than they were.

i have studied the sun for four years now and the activity of the sun is quite amazing. we are in a low cycle right now but the sun is as active as some high cycles. the X-40 to 50+ flare that we had a couple of years ago blew all the experts out of the water. they need a new scale if this keeps occuring. perhaps they should add a Y and a Z scale. we have since had an x-14(the scale only goes to ten) and some other biggies, and the activity within the solar system continues to ramp up. most people dont know this, but there is solar system warming. all of the planets are warming up, not just the earth. man is so easily fooled.

anyway, the effect of human thought on the sun is very real. in fact it effects all matter, but the cause and effect can be more readily seen with hydrogen and water because of their atomic structure, so it happens more quickly. the eskimos believe that when the auroras are red, that much blood is being shed on the earth. they say that during ww2 there was a lot of red auroras. and auroras, of course, are due to sun activity.

there is much we do not know, and much that we have forgotten or refuse to know now. and yes, god made it all, but we are the only ones made in his image and after his likeness. we have the ability to know what he does, and all he says we have to do is ask. i have experienced it many times, so i keep asking the questions. you should try it sometime.
