Re: Can Hernias be handled without surgery? German doctor did it.

I had a hernia in Germany. My intestines had got stuck in the hole and I would throw up everything I ate or drank. Saw this little doctor in Aschaffenburg, and she pushed the intestines back in with her fingers and then let me feel the hole.

Now comes the weird part. She took some medical tape (as for bandages) and taped up my abdomen so that the hole was closed. She taped it up tightly; I had all these skin folds where she had pulled the skin together and it wasn't very comfortable. I had to leave it on for about a week. I was so happy when that tape finally came off, but the hernia was gone and I haven't had any problems since. That was over 15 years ago.
