Re: I found out my dad has cancer of the esophugus and it has spread. What can I do?

I appreciate the response. My dad and I had another meeting with an onocologist today. And the prognosis was not good. He was given a year and a half to live. I feel helpless and it seems that they just want to maintain his quality of life with a stint (so he can eat properly) and low grade chemo and radiation. We still have a few meetings with doctors, although it does not look good. I wish my dad would consider some of these therapies but he can't even keep the Ensure down.
