Hi To the Realist,

It would be much simpler to simply stop providing the foreign aid to third world countries, propping up
dictators etc. and the resulting death toll would revert back to where it was around the time of WW2.

The overpopulation is mainly in those countries because of charities which feed the starving.
Until these people are actively participating in a capitalistic society and buying refrigerators, carpeting,
cars and television sets, they are unfortunately not considered to be consumers, but only EATERS.

Simply modernizing China over the next 40 years could double the world's demand for energy and raw materials
to produce goods for the world that wants their appliances to be cheap and affordable.
Regardless of what is done for population control, it is those countries which produce the goods which will
be suffering due to the pollution of manufacturing and high death rates. I hope they don't get mad at consumers.

The quickest solution would be a nuclear war. Any bets that the west might be the loosers next time?
