Real yoga is to connect with God in your Heart, I recomend Mantra meditation. Just like starting slow with the rites, I recomend, slow and steady wins the race.

The physical aspect of yoga is actually the priests version of martial arts. If you heard any stories about how strong the warriors of ancient times were, you would probably be shocked. Sometimes the priests had to take out demoniac kings. Mostly mantras were used.

Mostle the Tibetan rites are all that is necessary for physical well being. If anyone wanted to try martial arts, I would suggest Aikido, or Kung Fu,

Falun Dafa is ok too. Whatever you do, chanting can give more richness to the whole experience.
