Re: Joy how long does it take you to complete 21 reps?
Hi Keith,
I take about 30 to 40 minutes each morning, but as mentioned, do other moves in between the Tibetan forms. The other moves are mostly stetches that do not take quite as long as the Tibetans, so I'd say a total of 20 minutes for the main forms themselves. I use my breath to drive the physical motion, so other than the spin, each form takes exactly as much time as 21 deep inhales/exhales.
The thing I have found really interesting about my path to the full 21 reps is that, over time, I have felt differently about the different moves. Early on, form 2 was the easiest of the 2nd through 5th (the spins have always been in a class by themselves). Now at 21, it takes the most focus and determination to complete 21 leg lifts. I do occacionally take a pause for an extra breath halfway through.
The 4th form was always the one I disliked the most, but now it seems the one I can get through the easiest by really focusing on my breath.
So, now I need to go do them for today!
Have a good one,
Joy
