Bush: Iraq had "nothing" to do with 9/11

Like we haven't been screaming this since the moment that excuse was tried.

BUSH: What did Iraq have to do with what?
QUESTION: The attacks upon the World Trade Center.
BUSH: Nothing. Except for it's part of -- and nobody's ever suggested in this administration that Saddam Hussein ordered the attack. Iraq was a -- Iraq -- the lesson of September the 11th is: Take threats before they fully materialize.

Or, in the case of Iraq: imagine threats that don't exist, promote them as the truth, then act on them, and then finally, pretend that the lies offered don't matter, insist it was the right thing to do anyway, and ignore the dire consequences.
