Its not that far away from any of us here on the mainland of North America.
Mahar Arar, a Canadian citizen, was picked up for questioning IN CANADA, then he was 'given' to the Americans, who sent him to syria where he was tortured. He was innocent of any charges.

Why not you? have you posted anything on the internet that might be seen as "un american" by bushCo, sympathy for iraquis for eg.
YOu could be questioned, then exported to an foriegn country where the torture can be done to you.Or right here, why not?

So this is real.
do you have the courage to continue to say what you know is right? to continue to be critical of things that BushCo does? to call out when you see an injustice?

If not, then we have lost.
Have we lost, or are you willing to risk torture?
Small chance it will happen to any of us here, sure, but feel VERY GOOD about yourself whenever you stand up for the rights and dignity and free choice for others, for you now possess COURAGE.
Please display it whenever possible, along with infinite compassion, and know that you are the good side - a hard thing to know these days.
