Re: beautiful story
I met other spiritual beings during my NDE but they did not have wings. They were orbs of light and if they were angels or if they had wings, I could not be certain. Somehow, to me, I didn't even see physical bodies in my NDE because I witnessed other beings on a different level than the physical level. If angels did have wings then I could not see them. In my post NDE experiences of angels I did not see wings on the two giant angels I witnessed but somehow I identified them as angels. How did I know they were angels? I just knew. The childlike beings who visit me in times of distress or suffering did not apppear to have wings to me either but I have also called them angels.
Is it possible that we put bodies or clothing... or even wings on angels to rationalize or make sense of the way that they move? The childlike angels that I have observed could fly and move in effortless fluid motion. Perhaps we identify spiritual things with physical attributes so that we can make sense of the supernatural? In biblical terms in the Torah, a chariot was a vehicle the people witnessed taking up a prophet into heaven. Was the author of this event witnessing a real chariot or did he import his life experience or perceptions of what he believed would be a vehicle to bring a prophet to heaven over what he could not decribe in physical terms? If this is more than a fable then either the vehicle was a literal chariot or the author of this scripture said in words in a way that made sense to him.I think it is possible that angels have wings but this has not been my experience. We all come from different experiences so there could be many possible explanations for attemtpting explain the spiritual in physical terms?
I believe that angels are real spiritual beings that may appear as whatever makes sense to us or whatever they(angels) believe will suit their purpose. Agels are our comforters or protectors and they have names and a purpose. Your broken wings may have been symbols of your spiritual condition or it is possible that you really are an angel? It is really fascinating to me that we could possibly be angels of either the fallen version or that we might have just forgotten our true roots. The thought that we might have been angels or could become angels though is not a part of my religious dogma but certainly a part of my subconscious thoughts. I often call happy children or infants angels and when a child is seeking comfort from me I might call a female child an angel. A child in a program I was teaching yesterday called himself Angel although Angel was not his Christian name. It is all very interesting to me.
