Re: Seizures and loss of speech

Hi Nicky,
I believe my son may have Landau Kleffner Syndrome. He is 3 and a half. He was diagnosed with a speech and language delay in December, but since then his speech has reduced to almost nothing and he has no understanding of anything that is said to him. We are waiting for a referral but we are so desperate for help and advice.
Could you please tell us a bit about your son, what happened, how was he diagnosed, did you get referred by your doctor. Any information would be great. What treatment did he have and did he have to have speech therapy? We live in the UK (South West).
