White things in my throat- anyone know what they are??

I have had little white things in the back of my throat for YEARS now, and I have no idea what they are. They are coming out of the tubes for my ears- but in the back of my throat. Some are tiny, others are the size of a pencil eraser!! And the STENCH!!! WOW! It's enough to make you throw up!! I was once told by a Dr. that they are calcium deposits with bacteria growing on them- The reason for the bad smell. I don't beleive that. I'm wondering if anyone else has had these, and if you know what they are, and if you have done anything to get rid of them!?
