Re: Metal toxicity -HAIR ANALYSIS
Hi Janey,
I hope you don't mind me chiming in! I noticed on your lab results that both your potassium and sodium levels are low? This is a classic sign of adrenal fatigue because the adrenals secrete a hormone called aldosterone which is responsible for maintaining the potassium/sodium pump inside and outside of our body's cells. When the adrenals become weakened, aldosterone levels fall and sodium gets leaked out of the body's cells and excreted via the kidneys. This is why people who have AF are constantly dehydrated (headaches, fatigue, thirsty) because water goes where sodium goes. The solution is to use
Sea Salt in your drinking water and your food.
When I first got sick I thought that drinking tons of water would "flush" out whatever toxins were making me sick. Little did I know that I was further diluting my body's sodium levels, which can lead to a very dangerous condition known as hyponatremia. This is when sodium in the body falls to dangerously low levels, causing the brain to swell against the inside of the skull eventually cutting the signal to the lungs for breathing. There have been quite a few cases of this in triathletes and marathon runners who drink way too much water over the course of a race and when they collapsed, the EMS thought they were dehydrated and gave them more water!
Perhaps you should look into getting a 24 hour saliva test performed to make certain if it is or isn't adrenal fatigue.
