The hearings are pretty vanilla, however it is better than nothing. And it has grown partisan (in that the republicans are trying to give the g'ment a pass and the Dems are the only ones asking any real pointed questions). Business as usual.
We will never find out the true depth of the US government involvement and culpability in 9/11, but until Clarke testified, no one but the families of the dead gave a crap about this commission.
At least now it has entered the public consciousness. Perhaps some small good will come of it.
