Re: Hypothyroid

Dear Denny and Pam,

The thyroid LOVES Iodine
It feeds it and makes it healthy
It BALANCES it to produce the correct amount of hormones and chemicals
Although some doctors think it is only for Hyperthyroidism
furthur study will tell you that Iodine intake
can make the Hyper's manufacture less hormones
and the Hypos manufacture more
the reason is not medically known
this is why I use the term BALANCE

Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary says;
Iodine enables the thyroid to function NORMALLY
and deficiency can lead to HYPOthyroidism

Herbs and foods supply nutrients
and the body and organs BALANCE themselves
I have seen Garlic lower high blood pressure
and also raise low blood pressure
this is what happens when you use foods and herbs instead of drugs
this is NATURAL HEALING
when the body does it's own healing
and is NOT shoved around by Doctors, Drugs and Hospitals

The best source of natural iodine
is any plants from the sea (seaweeds)
It is interesting that people who eat a lot of seaweed
certain asian populations
have little or no thyroid problems
So I always suggest eating seaweed as a start
Trust me, there is more to seaweed than just iodine

If you are not a seaweed eater
start with dulse
It doesn't taste fishy or bad
I think it taste delicious

It is a great snack food
just eating it dried and raw
you can find beautiful ones in most health food stores
and eat them right out of the package
when I buy a bag it rarely makes it home
I eat it right in the car

I put dulse in my SuperFood
look on the ingredient picture on the top of the jar
the leafy purple stuff in between the orange, lemon and the beets
is purple dulse, I took that picture in my kitchen one day
that is often why it is called purple dulse
purple is a great color food we don't eat enough of
It is so powerful that each dose of SuperFood
contains over 50 mcg. of organic natural Iodine
that's 35% of your R.D.A.

Please also experiment with other seaweeds too
eating dried ones
and cooking others in miso soup
and mixing others with your rice and vegetables

Just imagine that every mineral and micro mineral known
is in the sea
then why wouldn't we want to include sea plants
into our daily food program

KEEP ON HEALIING MY FRIENDS
