Dr. Schulze - Heart Formula and Wolf-Parkinson-White
Dr:
Bob Mantz posted this question in another forum:
"I've got a person with Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome. WPW, for those that do not know, is a disease involving the electrical fibers in the heart. Normally, an electrical signal starts at one part of the heart (the right atrium¡¯s sinus node) and is transmitted through the area between the atrium and the ventricles (AV node), to the other parts of the heart (Ventricles). In this disease, there is an abnormal electrical connection that bypasses the AV node a condition, which can lead to irregular or rapid heart rates.

Patients are never to receive any calcium channel blockers, digitalis, or beta- blockers because they can actually increase the likelihood that they could get a serious heart arrhythmia.
They have started using Heart Formula (Hawthorne, cactus grandifloras) but saw an episode of heart racing quickly after taking it.
James Duke said hawthorne has natural calcium like channel blocker chemicals in them and perhaps cactus grandifloras has some chemicals that are akin to the mechanism on how digitalis works and might therefore be contraindicated. Cayenne and peppermint have worked to slow his rapid heart.
So, have you ever seen anyone with WPW and what do you think about the Heart Formula for it?

I too have been diagnosed with WPW and have had palps after using the Heart Formula. Can you address this?
