Re: Kidney cleanse question
4 or 5 months ago I was in your shoes. I posted here that I couldn't juice because I'm hypoglycemic. Then I tried the
Bowel Cleanse and followed Dr. S's instructions and I thrived! so I did the liver, then the kidney etc. Now I juice twice a day and love it. I started out drinking lots of SuperFood which I spiked with Nutrex Spirulina and Yaeyama Chlorella. I juiced a little veggies each day but I mainly drank green drinks. Then I tried some fresh juiced apples, with lots of water, in the morning with the SuperFood and found I was fine. Then for the
kidney cleanse you juice lemons and limes and I now do that every morning to start my day!
Who'ld a thunk it possible? So this is a journey of discovery and an education on a new way of living to maximize my health and well being. I'm still in process. This wasn't an event.
Dr. S's rational for cleanse: #1 the bowel, then the liver/gallbladder and then the kidneys and the blood is:
To get rid of toxins in the body and to heal, we must clean out the channels of elimination that are clogged up by poor diet, life, exposure to toxins etc. If the bowel is full of mucoid plaque etc. then the toxins don't exit, they get recycled. I would think cleansing would really help your lyme's treatment coming up.
Also, Dr. S never has us "fast" he has us drink GALLONS of fresh fruit or veggie juice daily and take SuperFood which is full of high protein spirulina and the chlorella helps stabilize blood sugar. So you are NOT hungary.
juicing raw veggies is like an IV for our blood. The nutrients are assimilated within 15 minutes.
I started out
juicing some
Celery and water to build up my organic sodium levels. Then I added something (can't remember). I used my blender and some cheesecloth to do this in the beginning.
I always take extra fiber on each cleanse to ensure the toxins are being absorbed and exiting my body. That excess fiber helps keep the blood
Sugar stable and I think it helps me feel "full" or satisfied.
Happy Cleansing and please let us know how you proceed!
